BBQ Veggie Burger
These BBQ Veggie Burgers are a perfect choice for barbecue season. Packed with flavor and texture, they are a delightful alternative to traditional meat burgers. Enjoy the smoky goodness of BBQ sauce with the freshness of vegetables in every bite
Ingredients:
- 2 cups cooked black beans
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup diced red onion
- 1/2 cup diced bell pepper
- 1/4 cup BBQ sauce
- 1/4 cup grated carrots
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 burger buns
- Lettuce, tomato, and other toppings of your choice
Instructions:
In a large bowl, mash the black beans until mostly smooth
Add breadcrumbs, red onion, bell pepper, BBQ sauce, carrots, garlic, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper
Mix until well combined
Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into burger patties
Preheat your grill or stovetop grill pan over medium-high heat and lightly oil the grates
Grill the veggie burger patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they develop grill marks and are heated through
Toast the burger buns on the grill for about 1 minute
Assemble your veggie burgers with lettuce, tomato, and any other toppings you prefer
Serve hot with additional BBQ sauce if desired
