- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup heavy cream
Instructions:
Set the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit 175 degrees Celsius and grease a 9-inch round cake pan
Beat the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar in a sizable mixing bowl until the mixture is light and fluffy
One egg at a time, adding and beating thoroughly after each addition
Add the vanilla extract and stir
Mix the flour, baking soda, cocoa powder, and salt in a different bowl
Mixing until just combined, gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ones
Add the semisweet chocolate chips and mix well
Evenly press the cookie dough into the cake pan that has been prepared
Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the center is just barely soft but not raw and the edges are set
Take it out of the oven and allow it to cool fully in the pan
Make the cream cheese frosting while the cookie cake cools
Cream cheese that has softened should be smoothed out in a mixing bowl
Add the vanilla extract and powdered sugar gradually, beating until well combined
Beat the heavy cream in a different bowl until stiff peaks form
To make a fluffy frosting, gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture
After the cookie cake cools, take it out of the pan and put it on a platter
Cover the top of the cookie cake with a thick layer of cream cheese frosting
If desired, garnish with extra chocolate chips or sprinkles
Cut into pieces and present
