Protein Cinnamon Roll Breakfast Cookies
Ingredients:
- 1 cup old-fashioned oats
- 1/2 cup vanilla protein powder
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup almond butter
- 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons unsweetened applesauce
- 1/4 cup raisins or chopped nuts optional
Instructions:
Warm the oven up to 325F 165C and put parchment paper on a baking sheet
Put the protein powder, cinnamon, baking powder, and salt in a bowl and mix them together
Melt the honey or maple syrup and almond butter in a separate bowl that can go in the microwave
Add the unsweetened applesauce and vanilla extract and mix well
Mix the dry ingredients with the wet ones until everything is well mixed
If you want to use them, fold in the nuts or raisins
Place spoonfuls of the cookie dough on the baking sheet that has been prepared
Slightly flatten the dough balls
Put it in the oven for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the edges turn golden brown
After taking the cookies out of the oven, let them cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet before moving them to a wire rack to cool all the way down
