Double Chocolate Caramel Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients:
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup caramel bits or chopped caramel candies
- 1/2 cup chopped dark chocolate or chocolate chunks
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350F 175C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper
In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy
Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition
Stir in the vanilla extract
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined
Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips, caramel bits, and chopped dark chocolate
Scoop about 2 tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each cookie
Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set and the centers are slightly soft
Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely
